Kind Kai NZ

Our Story

Kia ora, I'm Shaianne, and this is my māmā, Tania! We’re the founders of Kind Kai NZ. A māmā and daughter team based in beautiful Pāpāmoa, originally from Porirua, Wellington. I am a proud wahine Māori, māmā of two, and wife, and together with my māmā, we’ve created Kind Kai NZ from our own journey's to fuel our bodies better.

My journey started with my own struggle to fuel my body properly. For a long time, I trained consistently but never ate breakfast. I was putting in the mahi but not seeing the results. One day, my coach suggested I start having something to eat before training and that’s when I discovered overnight oats.

At first, it wasn’t easy! I’d eat half before training and half after, but over time it became a staple in my routine. I began to notice real changes, more energy during training, fewer afternoon crashes, and I wasn’t craving as many sweets at night anymore.

I started sharing my oats with my whānau and friends, and their feedback was incredible. That’s when I realised this simple change could help others too. With my māmā by my side, Kind Kai NZ was born.

Our mission is simple: to help others fuel their bodies kindly so they can move powerfully. Eating well doesn’t have to be complicated, one small change, like a nourishing breakfast, can make a huge difference to your energy, recovery, and hinengaro.

Kind fuel, powerful you — because when you are kind to your body, you strengthen both your body and your mind.
